Countries where Coca-Cola is not available

The Coca-Cola Company was founded in 1886 and has about 900 production facilities in 200 countries. Coca-Cola produces 3900 types of beverages and sells 1.9 billion bottles per day. The list of cold drinks is incomplete without Coca-Cola.Whether it is a party or an event, Coca-Cola cannot be missing from the drinks, because this drink is famous all over the world. But there are also two countries where Coke is not sold, in North Korea  and Cuba. 

Why Coca-Cola is not sold in Cuba?

Coca-Cola opened a factory in Cuba in 1906. Two years later, in 1962, the Cuban Revolution began and Coca-Cola production ceased. The Castro government confiscated the assets of foreign companies, so the production of Coca-Cola was banned; since then, Coca-Cola has stopped trading with Cuba 

Why is Coca-Cola not available in North Korea?

In addition to Cuba, Coca-Cola is not sold in North Korea. As a result of the Korean War, which lasted from 1950 to 1953, North Korea was subject to economic sanctions by the United States. Since North Korea's bombing of South Korea in 1980, America has imposed strict rules. As a result, North Korea is not allowed to sell Coca-Cola. For a long time, Coca-Cola was not even available in Myanmar or Vietnam; later, the restriction was lifted for these countries 

As a result of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, The Coca-Cola Company and PepsiCo, as well as other well-known American companies, have suspended operations there. In a statement, Coca-Cola said, "Our hearts go out to the people suffering the unimaginable impact of these terrible events in Ukraine." "We will continue to monitor and assess the development of the situation," it added. A new range of soft drinks will replace Coca-Cola, Fanta and Sprite, which left the Russian market after the invasion of Ukraine. Among the options available to Russians are Cool Cola, Fancy and Street.
